About Us

The Dan Kane Singers were a beloved 150 member volunteer singing group who called Springfield Symphony Hall and the MassMutual Center home for years. Their huge sold out Christmas concerts were sponsored by Peter Pan and The Big Y Corporations. The group proudly showcased fantastic adult singers and upcoming young stars spotlighting their incredible talents. This reputation continues today with Dan Kane and Friends.

Dan is a retired teacher after serving the Westfield Public School system for 34 years both as a Special Education Teacher and Reading Specialist.

He taught the Choral program at St. Stanislaus School in Chicopee MA. He has been the organist at St. Patrick’s Church in Springfield for the past 45 years. The Singers and Dan have performed at 100’s of venues.

The Stage of the gorgeous new Holyoke Senior Center bears his name as well as the Music Room in the Westfield Children’s Museum. He was named “Citizen of the Year”

by the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade Committee as well as “Outstanding Teacher of the Year” by the Scholastic Book Company. His alma mater Westfield State University has named him “Alumni of the Year” for his years of philanthropic work in the community.

He continues to be the top promoter and coach to an exclusive group of young singers in Western MA. Several of his students have reached Broadway, TV, American Idol., The Voice. Several have gone on to become Music Teachers and Educators. All of them have gained a greater love and appreciation for music.

He performed in Washington DC for President Bill Clinton and produced a Christmas TV Special for Public television in Springfield that remains a seasonal favorite each year.

The Dan Kane Singers have raised unprecedented hundreds of thousands of dollars for multiple charities and continue that work today as Dan Kane and Friends.
